03/25/2006 - Cindy improves her time in the 1,000m, setting another world record(CALGARY, AB)
Cindy ends her season with another record breaking performance in the 1,000m, clocking in a time of 1:13:11, one day after setting the world record in the same distance.

03/24/2006 - Cindy sets the world record in the 1,000m (CALGARY, AB)
With a time of 1:13:46, Cindy set the world record in the 1,000m distance at the Olympic Oval Finale in Calgary today. She now holds the world record in the 1,000, 1,500, and 3,000. Earlier in the day she skated the 500m with a time of 38:18 and will race both the 500m and 1,000m again tomorrow.

03/19/2006 - 1st place overall at the world allround championships (Calgary, AB)
With first place finishes today in the 1,500m and 5,000m, Cindy Klassen concluded her weekend with first place overall at the world allround championship in Calgary. A time of 1:51:85 in the 1,500m and 6:48:97 in the 5,000m contributed to her overall finish of 154:580 for the weekend.

03/18/2006 - Two first place finishes and a world record in Calgary
With the advantage of a home crowd cheering her on, Cindy finished in first place in the 500m and 3,000m event today at the world allround speed skating championship in Calgary. Her time of 3:53:34 in the 3,000m was more than two seconds off her best time, setting a world record in the distance.

03/05/2006 - Cindy takes bronze in the 1500m - World Cup (HEERENVEEN, Netherlands)
Cindy concludes her world cup season with a third place finish in the 1500m.

03/04/2006 - Gold in the 3,000m Gives Cindy the World Cup Title- World Cup (HEERENVEEN, Netherlands)
A first place finish with a time of 04:02:79 gives Cindy the World Cup Title in the 3,000m distance.

02/27/2006 - Cindy Klassen and MTS form winning team with major sponsorship deal
One day after carrying the flag for Canada in the Olympic closing ceremonies, Cindy signed on with MTS, a Manitoba Communications company, who will support Cindy as she trains for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. 02/26/2006 - Cindy to carry the flag for Canada in the Olympic closing ceremonies
After an exciting two weeks for Cindy, she has been given the honour of carrying Canada's flag into the 2006 Olypmic closing ceremonies.

02/25/2006 - Bronze and a new Canadian record
A third place medal performance in the 5,000m places Cindy as Canada's most decorated olympian.

02/22/2006 - Gold! In the 1,500m
Cindy gets her first Olympic gold medal in the 1,500m! She shares the podium with Canada's Kristina Groves as they finish 1 and 2 , taking home two more medals for Canada.

02/20/2006 - A close 2nd Place finish in the 1,000m
Cindy takes home a silver medal in the 1,000m with a time of 1:16:09.
