A first place finish with a time of 04:02:79 gives Cindy the World Cup Title in the 3,000m distance.

02/27/2006 - Cindy Klassen and MTS form winning team with major sponsorship deal
One day after carrying the flag for Canada in the Olympic closing ceremonies, Cindy signed on with MTS, a Manitoba Communications company, who will support Cindy as she trains for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. After an exciting two weeks for Cindy, she has been given the honour of carrying Canada's flag into the 2006 Olypmic closing ceremonies.

Cindy gets her first Olympic gold medal in the 1,500m! She shares the podium with Canada's Kristina Groves as they finish 1 and 2 , taking home two more medals for Canada.
